Golden Suns place No. 31 at Southern Stampede in Joplin

The Golden Suns had a team time of 1:46.31 and earned thirty-first out of 34 teams in Joplin, Missouri last weekend.

Aubre Gilreath, from Rogers, led the team, finishing ninety-eighth out of 323 runners, with a time of 19:35.9. This was Gilreath’s fastest time posted this season and the fastest time for any Golden Sun this season. Halle Gilreath, from Rogers, had her season best time at 20:02.2 and finished one hundred and twenty-ninth.

Shannon Mclaughlin, from Convoy, Ireland, finished one hundred and eighty-sixth in her first race of the season with a time of 21:22.3. Megan Bradley, from Springdale, set a season-best with a time of 23:08.8, finishing two hundred and eighth.

The Golden Suns will travel to Fayetteville on Saturday 22, for the Chili Pepper Festival. The race starts at 8 a.m.
