On The dLe

My favorite discovery since graduating high school is my ability to exercise free will with little to no consequence as long as I’m not being outright stupid. I’ve adopted a philosophy of doing one new thing every week, bonus point if I do multiple.

Life gets so repetitive and boring when I’m not doing things to change my routine. I recently started carrying a coffee mug to my morning classes because it sounded funny and it’s a great mug. The people deserve to see it. Plus, it makes me feel like Lorelie Gilmore so there are really no cons to this endeavor. It’s starter level whimsy though and I’m shooting for D1 fantastical.

Even if I pay for my choices severely with my lack of sleep, I’d rather be exhausted than discontent with my life. I have more energy now than I will the rest of my life, so is it not a privilege to have none left to spare because I’m living my life as fully as I can?

I started going to Waffle House after work with my coworkers just to have a moment for myself and laugh. Do I get to bed at 2 when I do that? Maybe. But I also get to eat a chocolate chip waffle with a whipped cream smiley face and take a new memory home with me. To me, that’s so worth it.

On that note, my new thing this week was being ahead on my homework, not to brag. Academic weapon right here! I want to shout out Alani for making all of this possible and Zaxby’s for introducing another challenge to completing this feat on top of procrastination. Keep it on the dLe!
