Tech Staff Injured – Cyclist Mauled by Dogs

The River Valley Chapter of the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists (RVOORC) is raising money to help Tim Caldwell after being mauled by a pack of dogs on Jan. 15.

According to a police report, deputies with the Pope County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection of Crow Mountain Road and Cagle Rock about an animal attack.

Caldwell was riding his bike when he was attacked by the dogs and sustained severe injuries on his arms and legs. He was airlifted to UAMS, where he underwent major surgery.

Caldwell is a computer support specialist at Tech and is now resting and recovering at home. The RVOORC has raised 10,135 dollars with a goal of 25,000; so far, 178 people have donated.
