The Arkansas Cinema Society has officially announced their new six-week workshop, Acting for Film and Television. Classes will be taught by ATU alum Raeden Greer.

The workshop will be held every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., beginning March 27 through May 15. Classes will be hosted in the lecture hall of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock. The workshop is open to everyone over the age of 18 and registration ends once all spots have been filled. Tuition for the event is a flat rate of $150 but members of the Arkansas Cinema Society and Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts will receive a 10% discount. With only 20 spots available, those interested will want to register as soon as possible.

In their course description, the ACS offers the opportunity to “join our instructor Raeden Greer as she teaches the intricacies of acting on the screen. You’ll learn character work, scene study, script analysis and techniques along with discussing the business aspects of film and TV. This course is for people with some acting experience, whether on stage, in commercials, or in short or feature films.”

Raeden Greer attended ATU before beginning her career as an actress, producer, and director. Greer was born and trained in New York, but graduated from Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas. Greer recently moved back to Arkansas to make her own movies. She has worked on-screen with actors such as Kathy Bates, Will Ferrell, James Franco, Julia Garner, and more. She has been in numerous films, shorts, and TV shows such as NCIS: New Orleans, Magic Mike XXL, American Horror Story: Coven, and The Last Exorcism Part II.

If you are interested in attending this new workshop and learning from actress and ATU alum Greer, then be sure to register as soon as possible. The Arkansas Cinema Society also offers many separate opportunities for aspiring actors and filmmakers, all of which can be found on their website.
