The Student Government Association’s meeting on Oct. 1 touched on a variety of topics such as preparations for homecoming, new job openings on campus, and unresolved concerns of students.
With the homecoming period soon approaching, event organizer and Secretary of Student Engagement Diana Jimenez-Cruz shared plans for several events to raise spirit amongst students. All students are encouraged to engage in activities throughout the week and uphold campus traditions.
It was also announced that the university is hiring students for the new student union fitness section. Certification is required, and further information is available on the campus website at https://www.atu.edu/studentunion/index.php.
Student feedback was also discussed in relation to dining services on campus. While many students view their dining experience positively, some concerns were raised regarding food quality and cleanliness. Campus staff assured students that all feedback is considered important and urged them to continue respectfully sharing their thoughts via surveys and in person.
