The Golden Suns Basketball team has seen their ups and downs this season but are two games away from the GAC Women’s Basketball Championship on March 2. So far, the Golden Suns are 13-11 overall.

The past week, Tech has competed in four close games but fell to all opponents putting them on a four-game losing streak.

On Feb. 23 they will travel to face Henderson State, a team they struggled against earlier this season, but will now have a shot of redemption. Their final home game of the season will be Feb. 25 for senior day.

They will compete against Southern Arkansas, a team they won against Dec. 17 in an 89-87 battle. They will have the chance to continue their win streak against them this weekend.

Multiple athletes have stood out this season, Including Jalei Oglesby, sophomore from Howe, Oklahoma, who leads the team in points per game and rebounds per game.

Dana Thompson, sophomore from Miami, Florida, leads the team in blocks per game and three-point field goal percentage. Kaley Shipman, junior from Mountain View, has also stood out, as she leads the team in assists per game.
