Suns drop game to Harding, beat OBU

After losing a four-set heartbreaker to Harding last Tuesday, the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns swept Ouachita Baptist in three sets.

The offensive attack in the victory was led by outside hitter Allie Anderson, of Bryant. Anderson had 16 kills and had a team high .530 hitting percentage. Alongside Anderson, outside hitter Tymber Riley, of Bentonville, had 10 kills with a .300 hitting percentage. Stafford, Missouri outside hitter Rillie Vote had 6 kills with a .217 hitting percentage in the victory.

The Suns were led defensively by the libero from Nixa, Missouri, Madison Grantham. Grantham had 13 of Tech’s 51 digs in the match. Alongside Grantham, libero Meredith Darnell, of Russellville, had a good match defensively with 12 digs.

The victory over Ouachita put the Suns at an 8-6 record overall and a 2-1 record in GAC play, which puts them a game behind league leader Oklahoma Baptist, who sit at a 3-0 record in GAC play.
